Hello,
My name is Rosie and painting has always been an interest of mine. Despite this, until the beginning of 2015, I had not picked up a paintbrush since school. Then as a bit of a New Year's Resolution I decided to grab my hobby back. I retrieved my box of paints from my childhood bedroom in Scarborough, dusted down my easel, and set about sparking my passion for painting again, for the first time in over 10 years.
It started with the Messy Fishing Boat, taken from a photo I snapped on a family trip to Plymouth, during which time my little brother marked his start in a career in the Royal Navy. Since then the easel has stayed standing, and I continue to paint during any spare evening I have.
Since then I have turned this hobby into a small business. I work primarily with acrylics on paper and canvas, although I sometimes experiment with other media.
My ever-expanding portfolio primarily comprises landcapes, cityscapes, and pet & family portraits, although I am now broadening into painting large scale abstract pieces for home decor as well.
My main interest is painting scenes from photos taken by myself from holidays, trips to interesting places with fond memories, and my city of residence, Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
However, I now spend a lot of my time committed to providing commission pieces and custom orders. It is rewarding to capture a special someone or place on canvas that no-one else will have. All paintings are signed, mounted and framed before shipping.
Please take a look at my Gallery of works done so far. Some items are available as prints for sale here on my Etsy shop.
Otherwise, please contact me for a custom order and we can discuss requirements and prices.
Thank you for looking :-)
